I prefer my first gen 360 looks wise thanks, although does have some cool features.

so is it a next gen xbox aka ps1 ps2 ps3 or is it jsut a new version of the 360? also watchign the vids, it seems its very similar to the WII but they dotn seem to be using controllers or have sensors on them, and doesnt seem there is a sensor receiver on the TV... so many Questions! dependin on the answers id probably grab one myself!

Its not a next gen system, just redesigned, bigger HD and a few other bits and pieces..
as for kinect (project natal) it can be used on any 360,
Thats the kinect sensor. Would work similar to the playstation eye (anyone remember that?)

Looks like a november release for the U.S at least, as for your PS3 is king comment. I have had 2 360's including my current one of 2 years. No issues. I just sent my SECOND PS3 slim off to be replaced by sony in less than 8months. So at the moment I am inclined to say the PS3 is ****, although it is definitely good as a media centre.

Thanks, now I'm gonna go grab my old Hot Pursuit & Hot Pursuit 2 discs and install them for a bit of a laugh!!! Probably HP2 as it has a TS50 ;)

i watched the live broadcast from E3 at 3:30 this morning since i was up, it was pretty uninspiring. The Kinect idea looks to have big potential, especially in stealing sales from the Wii, but the fact that the only revisions are basically built in wifi and a bigger HDD make it a console i will overlook until they bring out the next gen.

Motion controls = Fail. For hardcore gaming anyway. Got a Wii and I despise it (keep it just in case any good games come out, like the last Silent Hill game). Kinect is a horrible name and who wants that big clunky piece of plastic on their TV? Looks like a $20 digital antenna.

I'll guarantee every real gamer who buys a 'Kinect' will have it collecting dust before the year is out (and that is being generous).

I doubt that, it operates must of, if not all, of the features on the 360 so it does have a far more practical use than just for games. Sort of like windscreen wipers on cars, nobody really needs them, but your glad they're there.

As for the new xbox, I love the looks and new features and I'm annoyed that I've just replaced my old Xbox 360, because I'd really like to get the new console.

Looks good IMO, kinect looks similar to PS eye toy, I used to have that and the novelty wore off pretty quickly, and if you have the WII again it seems pointless.

Will probably wait for one of my 2 to crap it before upgrading to this one. Also goes to show a full new console is still a long way off if they bringing out a new designed 360.

You mean hand gesture operated menus? Let me know how that goes when your concerned neighbours call somebody to come around from the mental health 'clinic' to check up on you.

Windscreen wipers have a practical use the rest of the car doesn't, the Kinect doesn't do anything the controller can't already do. Also nobody really needs them?! I hope you are joking. Wonder why Saabs have wipers on the headlights?

Dont know if could buy another 360 I have had 2 and both have had the 3 red lights of death. I switched to PS3 no probs so far I must be unlucky lol

new consoles wont be for a while so dont get your hopes up yet. Sony have said the PS3 is designed to have a 10 year minimum lifespan, and Microsoft will probably aim for the same. most consoles have only had roughly 7 year spans (except the PS2 which is still being manufactured and sold like 'hotcakes').

I wouldnt be suprised if Nintendo eventually get out of the 'home console' market and just focus on hand held stuff. Seems to be the way they are heading atm.

Personally i cant see how this Kinect is gonna be worth anything. Yeah its cool Tech, but i guarantee you'll see a repeat of the Wii, with 8000+ uninspiring games being released such as Sportsresort.

And whilst im a Sony Fanboy (there it is), im not impressed with the 'Move' they are releasing to combat the Kinect and Wii. All these motion controls seem to do nothing more than actually limit the possibilities of being able to do stuff in-game.

on the flip side.. the pretty new model is driving prices down...
you can get a new elite console for $260 with forza 3 and halo 3 odst..
