Silly things your partners done while trying to help

Hey fellas, yesterday the fiance and I decided to get some painting done at our place and for once she decided to give me a hand. I usually cut in all edges before getting the walls done so when asked what can be done I asked my partner to start helping with the cutting of corners/edges. She appears in front of me with a kitchen knife and asks "so where do I start?"

I didnt give her grief since she isn't the handy type but never the less it was fun bringing it up for the next few hours lol.
So what silly things have your partners done in attempts to help you at work/around the house?

This is about my ex.
You know the 1 litre Kero/Turpentine/citrus oil bottles. How on the cap you need to squeeze the cap to uncrew it?

I used to wonder why around the top of these bottles in our cupboard around the spout was crushed in. (on the spout it said squeeze here with arrows pointing to the cap) yeah well she would squeeze the spout part of the bottle.

ok i have enough to fill a book but one of her funniest ones was when i bought my new car and she decided to wax the car for me i use turtle wax so if you spill it ,it stains . Needless to say the car looked great but now the driveway as a nice blue outline of were it was parked

Silly things … Hmmmm, opening her mouth.

On a trip from Brisbane to Melbourne (in the truck) back in 2001, I blew a tyre just north of the Marsden parking bay. It was a recap on the B trailer and had thrown the cap into the brake drum. This was not the easiest thing to remove until she said “can’t you just call the RACV, or something”.

After hearing this, my blood pressure went through the roof and in a split second I went from a “swearing” Bill Bixby to the Incredible Hulk and managed to remove the cap with one great swearing heave.

She looked at me and said “well that got it out” as my blood pressure receded.

The joys of travelling with a woman.

Thought the whole sole purpose of any interstate driving was to get away from the other half?

I went and got a V8 with the box attached. Trailer was just long enough for the engine to fit, with the box hanging. She knew I needed to unload it, so she unlatched the hitch.....

The resident Dragon Lady here sprayed the driveway with Roundup then proceded to walk over the sprayed section onto the front lawn...

My partner hates the amount of time I spend servicing our cars, and my mates cars too, and she just loves to try and help, like when I asked her quickly pop back into the garage to get my 1/4 inch drive socket set. She comes back empty handed to say she didnt feel like playing soccer, and maybe later would be better for her.

And when I was showing her the intricacies of removing a I6 E series distributor and she lays a screwdriver across the battery...... (She says it looked like a safer spot that the rocker cover).

Or when she see's me very carefully removing grit from a spark plug recess on my Scorpion with a cotton bud and a rubber plug and tries to help with some compressed air and forgets to actually seat the air gun attachment properly and came within an inch of dropping an airgun needle down the bore.

Needless to say, even though I really appreciate the help she tries to give, the tools and everything under the bonnet is now solely my domain. So she is now claiming supervisory priveledges (What I refer to as a food and beverage attendant).

Years ago the missus was helping me bleed the brakes by pumping the brake pedal. The bleed hose had lots of bubbles and the brakes remained spongy. Yes she was pumping the clutch pedal instead of the brake pedal. Somehow it was my fault though and as we all know they are never wrong.

I don't have a missus but this girl I'm very good friends with likes to assist with my project. We had just finished removing the old carby off a V8 and she proceeds to walk past, drunk, with my fresh beer in hand and slop half of it down the carby inlet.. Sigh..
