Default Help with replacing door handles, broken pin!

Just wondering if anyone else has had this drama: im replacing my black handles with chrome ones, but the white plastic pin that holds the handle in place has broken on me! Is there anything else i can use to replace the pin, or do i have to but one/a pack from Ford? Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Rob.

I would just buy one handle from the wreckers - never had a pin break on me before; you must have been using some force!

Yeah, the first handle I did the pin came out alright (fluke maybe?) but the second handle the pin just broke in half (i found them to be very brittle also)

Any suggestions re: taking the pin out without breaking them? I dont want to pull the whole door trim off just to swap the door handles.
