Default Cobra Mockups already started!

Check this out, this particular dealer has 3 of these things, 2 BF XR8s and a BF GTP!

Yeah, I have to agree. I guess they wanted to get the lines between the edges of the bulge but I think they need to be fatter (if you're going to have them at all).

Cobra Stripes have been going around for years on various cars and models. I like it dunno if I would buy it though.

Just curious, whats the price of the GTP variant? Price would be close to a genuine wouldnt it? If you could get one that is.

Just out of curiosity, since the new GT's have the 302kw engine. For someone (like myself) who doesn't know a whole lot about the Cobra and GT's intricate specs, what does a fully spec'd GT-P not offer that a Cobra does (apart from the badging and authenticity) ?

How come the stripes dont go to the bumper at all? not even the side ones, looks a tad silly IMO

Nothing, GT is the same car (Same brakes seats wheel size etc).

The only diffference is the stripes, white inserts in the wheels, grey bits on the spoiler.

The GTP they have mocked up is an 06 Plate Demo, high 50's with about 7000 on the clock i think.

PM me if anyone wants it.

No, thats another go point, plus you dont get the Ipod input.

I heard a rumour however R Spec suspension could be optioned and the last lot of FPVs will come standard with it, but dont tell anyone.

Seats are different, the Cobra has snake motifs on the seats, and also the Cobra build plate.

is rather see someone mock up a 40th anniversary gt instead of a cobra. Looked a hell of alot nicer than the cobra's imo

If you get a GT or GTP built now you will get 302KW engine but not the R spec suspension. At this stage the suspension is not an option.

I seen a white transit Van in town today with Cobra stripes on it. Are Ford putting them on anything and everything trying to make a few dollars here and there

Ford did a Transit van with Cobra stripes when the XC was released - maybe someone remembers that.

Ok, gotta ask. The Cobra ute, what is the RRP on it?

And when dealers are quoting them , are they quoting the something like the following..

"GT Pursuit Utility etc etc $54,000
Cobra R spec fitout $ 1,400"

To me, that is the delear making a mock up, not te real deal. Brother in law reckons he can get a Cobra ute tomorrow, the last one apparenty for under $50k (fleet discount on the above pricing) and the quote he showed me had two lines like above.

I tell ya, I'm getting these bozzo's out of the woodwork trying the pull BS over me.....

Can someone please confirm?

My contract for the cobra ute which arrives on friday is as follows:

FPV Cobra Utilty $56,463.64 RRP (some dealers show std car price + cobra pack price)
Dealer Charges $1,995.45
GST $5,845.91
Stamp Duty $1266.00
Reog $834.00

Total $66,405.00 RRP Driveaway.

I did have a previouse contract for a manual sedan prior to release but this particual dealer tried to charge me 80k drive away (6-7k over rrp). I had been dealing with this dealership for our company vehicles for years but was not impressed when RRP was released, so canned the contract and sourced the ute through a different dealership...

There is two at Q-Ford (Springwood Qld), a second hand GT on a stand in the yard and a new GTP in the show room. Both with the exact same stripes as the new cobra's....
