You can't have purchased that in 2001 :p Do you mean that it's a 2001 model and you bought it in 2007?

Matt.

Not necessarily. I still use 5W30 in mine with 320,000km up. Those are 95% country kms, compression is 220-225psi on every cylinder and if it uses half a litre over the 10,000km between changes I think myself unlucky. I let someone talk me into 15W40 oil once and it felt like the timing was retarded 10deg under 3000rpm.

The Penrite 10w-50 is a great oil. BMW and Mercedes approve Penrite for their engines so it must be pretty good stuff.

I spoke at great lengths with the technical department at Penrite, and my 160,000 klm AU2 V8 on dual fuel they suggested HPRgas-10.

Yup, that's what I use on both our cars. I get it from my local Autopro 20L at a time for $26.50 per 5L bottle.

They do me a good deal because I always go there first whenever I need anything.

That is a great price! I will have to have a chat to my guys LOL

Having just bought the ute, although it has a service history I didn't know what the dealer had used so - I have now gone through and replaced every fluid with penrite from front to rear! I love the stuff!
