Wink Bathurst V8

Does anyone think that this year might be the worst time to go to bathurst. being that everyone that is a die hard holden lover will go to pay there respect to brocky.
Because the Tv will be going on about it showing Brocky and his races at the mountin and there will be alot at bathurst aswell.
And if you are a Ford man you will be out numbered. What i mean is that if ford wins there will be hell to pay for and if holden win there will be hell to pay for.
I know last year there was holden fans hitting any ford trying to get out of the car park. I seen one nice AU with the bonet all dinted in from them jumping on the bonet as it drove pass
what does everyone else think
i think i might just go on the saturday and stay home on the sunday and watch it on Tv

As bad as this sounds, I think it will be true. If Ford do win, with every drunken Holden bogan in the region upset, its a formula for trouble.

If this happens to your car (the damage, I mean), get video of it, and take it down to the cop shop. Remember, as far as insurance is concerned, if you can prove that someone other then you did the damage, then you shouldn't have to pay any excess (so the video footage - from a phone or similar - will come in handy).

As for Brocky - yeh, I reckon it will be worth going, as it will be a great weekend. He was a great driver and ambassador for the sport, but race fans will just use his demise as an excuse for poor behaviour (this will be on both Ford and Holden side).

The weekend will undoubtably be about Peter Brock and Holden and fans will flock there to pay their respects.
They aren't going to accept anything but a Holden win as a fitting send off, so the whole Brock thing will certainly take the shine off a well deserved Ford win.

Queue booing fans as Lowndes takes the top step........can't see the same retort coming from Lowndes as from Jim Richards years back, "You're all a pack of #$*!holes", though...he he.

I can't see Ford executives advising teams to slow up and come second for Brock's sake however. So Ford is damned if it wins and damned if it doesn't.

At least craig has shown that he can drive both model cars. And because holden wanted him to run second to skaife all the time and cover his derrierre, french, look what happens when he jumps into a class car.At least a took a tyre at a million klms an hour to slow him down and prevent him from winning bathurst. :
