All of them do except XR (and probably T-Series)

My EL had it too, and i would think the EF would have. Not sure before that.

All Autos and long wheel base Falcons & variants have a speed limiter (I know my AU XR had one before the edit).

My ED XR8 Manual also had one - as I found out much to my disappointment on the main straight at Phillip Island!

Yeah it feels wierd because our 'friends' know that there is still heaps left in the car

Just don't try to stop in a hurry on stock brakes that could be disasterous

What is the speed limiter on the Sprint? I was led to beleive that XR's didn't have them at all since they had alloy tailshafts that were up to the task.

Actually the EL's do but my EL was ex cops and I don't think it had a speed limiter. Although neither me or any of my 'friends' ever tried to get that anywhere near 180

Trust me ... at 320km/h ... the world goes past you very bloody quickly ... and the dotted line in the middle of the road .... well ... they kinda become one line.

I found this out one night as a passenger ... and no it wasn't in a Ford either.

So if the speed limiter acts like traction control .... it wouldn't be installed in the EGAS models due to backfire then .... so in other words ... all EGAS model have no speed limiter .... LOL

Trust me ... a speed limiter is needed .... just check out Datamine's thread in FordMods ... he removed the speed limiter ... and at 192km/h (I think it was) his tailshaft let go on the dyno ... lucky for him it only put a dent in the floorpan

If people are wondering which car this was ... it was the Gold EL at the Autotech dyno day the other week.
