They sit him down separately after the other guests have eaten to ensure that they actually get some food.

Any SA peeps here visited there?

Pies that require 2 hands to hold, deep dish with chunky meat, and you wont need dinner if you eat one at lunch.

I will take a look next time I am driving through
Took a couple of weeks but I got there yesterday.
The pie description was a little oversold with the 2 hands and no tea comments.
But thumbs up, their pies are ace.
Very full, nice gravy, good crispy pastry.

The Chunky beef and Potato.
Was topped with smokey bacon pieces.

And the inside of the Chunky beef pie.

They were a good size, the donut thatbwas also bought didnt get a look in until later that night.
(Cant comment on the chocy donut, I didnt have any)

Nice thick chunky pie, haven't had a potato pie in ages.

Partner made me some blueberry muffins from scratch this morning.

Most of the good bakeries around here are closed between Christmas on New Year.

I stopped in at the Robertson Pie Shop today and was surprised to find it’s up for sale.

It’s been renovated since I was last there. The prices are up quite a bit, but no more than a local bakery I usually visit.

I think they’ve increase their range of pies.

The cakes are great too.

We probably should have got one of their family sized apple and wildberry pies but we’ve still got so much left over from Christmas so I had a cream bun for dessert.

Great pie shop, nice knowing it is still open as I thought Covid might have killed it off.

Doubtless another one that heard that Cav has gone on a diet.

So I'll be heading to Sydney from Broken Hill in the not to distant future. What are the must stop pie shops on the way?

I’m sure Cav is covering his track with his selectively disappearing photos.

There’s a cafe in Leura (Blue Mountains) called the Wayzgoose Diner known for the flowerpot scones they bake onsite. I had one on Monday while I was there.

They used to serve them in small terracotta coloured flowerpots, but now they use cups.

The owners are probably just trying to get a handle on the situation.

Aberfoyle Park bakery.
Their pasties are average, the sausage rolls are too full and not crispy enough but their chunky steak pie goes alright.
