Default Graham Smith calls the Aussies chokers.

Just seen the Graham Smith's press conference on the news after the Aussie won the One Dayer in South Africa overnight & to call the Aussies Chokers after we won the match is a very dump thing to do IMO. I think you would look at your own teams performance in his case a loosing onn & work on that for startets. If SA had won the match & he refered to us as chokers then maybe.

If we are the ones that choked, then why did Andrew Hall bowl a hip high full toss for Mick Lewis to hit the winning runs????????? It would have to be one of the easiest deliveries for a tailender to whip away on the leg side for a couple of runs with the field spread. Which begs the question, if Smith was on the offensive I thought he would have bought the field up to try and get the last wicket. 2 runs off 6 balls with the field spread, the odd's would have to be with the batsmen,

This guy has the biggest mouth in International Cricket, but can never back it up. He needs to shutup until he can.

who cares what graeme smith thinks??? When was the last time the guy said anything intelligent??

So our cricket team is full of chokers...let me get this right,

They were ahead 2-0 in the series, one of the all time greats is missing from our team due to personal tragedy, our captain missed a couple of games, YET we have just squared the series 2-2, away from home. All the momentum is in australias favour...yet its our team thats choking?

I think Ponting put it best...there are many south african cricket fans who are at this very moment calling graeme smith and his team CHOKERS.

While he does have a big mouth and should be a bit more tactful. South Africa are always handicapped with the 4 black South African player rule (as they always have to have 4 indigenous players in the team each game). I'm not saying that these guys (the indigenous players) cant play top class cricket, but they get picked over players with more ability than them.

Saying that Ntini has done a very good job and would get a bowl in many international sides.
BTW i'm not SA and I always barrack for the Aussie's to win.

I didnt realise that they had to have four indigenous players even though Nitni would be a walk up start. I wonder how the Aussie would go if we had four indigenous players? Very well if it was AFL.

The senior side no longer have to play 3-4 "coloured" south africans. The quota system is still being enforced in domestic cricket however.

Last night the 3 coloured players were Gibbs, Ntini and Telemarchus. Out of those three Ntini and Gibbs are two very important players for RSA both in one day and test cricket. So no more free rides...

He's just as bad as half the Aussie's. And all this verbal banter is just designed to get people interested, hence this thread

I think its more frustration, he is a bloody great player, I watched him play in the series against England a while back, he was by far their best player against a powerful English team, now his form has deserted him he must be ready to snap someone

No, no, you don't understand the seth efriken eccent....

What he was saying was "Chockers" as in "full up". He was talking about our trophy bag whenever we play seth efrika at anything.......

Someone just needed to show him the score board and the last delivery. Say's it all when you lead by two matches to zip in a 5 match series and it has to go to the last game.

Dig up Hanse and bring him back, at least if the seth efrikans lose they will have an excuse. While he's tossing the game, Warney can be giving weather and pitch reports to the Bookmakers for a fee.

As much as I hate the south africans, I think that quote was taken slightly out of context. Geez I hope we win the next match.
