Default Speeding fine question?

I've never been done by a speed camera (car mounted ones) before but just wondering how long does it take for a fine to come in the mail form the day you have been booked?

any input will be great.

contest it if you do.. even if you withdraw it a few days prior to the hearing.. it'll waste money for them.

hahaha , i must be blessed, i havent copped one yet, but also on austrialia day i was doing 85 while overtaking some ***** on the princess hwy coming into melb from gippsland, it was an 80 zone and i saw the black thing on the front of the parked commodore in the left hand lane as i went passed, cringed a bit... then floored it up to the 100 limit.

so still havent got one in the mail, maybe my speedo is out?

Do they still deduct your demerit points?

they're only allowed to take 1 point off aren't they?? I think cops are the only ones that can hand out multiple demerit points

You can lose demerit points from a speed camera - I lost 5 in one go and no I don't really care to discuss it. :O

Tassie doesn't deduct the points until you pay.
One of the current affairs show had a story about a guys who's technically lost 40 odd points, but can still drive because he hasn't paid the fines... hence full points still

I've seen them arrive as fast as 4 working days and as long as 5 weeks.. Gotta love the consistency

remember if u got caught on aus day there was a lot of police out and they were busy. Point is that a lot of people would have got caught speeding so its going to take them a while to get tickets out to everyone
