What a great day.... The weather was very warm, we had some shade and seats, and luckily the forecasted storms stayed away for the afternoon.....
It was great to get the club members and their smilies together for a bit of fun. People turning up from all directions, with plates of food, snacks for a great spead for morning tea and lunch. We had a constant supply of ice cold drinks from the two eskeys, and hot food fresh from the BBQ (thanks to the chefs).... With various games for the little and big kids alike, with an early visit from Santa and his elf distributing some early gifts. As was expected, mixing kids / sugar / open spaces and a supply of weather, the afternoon people were kept cool with localised showers supplied from a number of natures little helpers and thier drinks bottles ( filled form the available tap).... This water supply was further enhanced thought COOL water in the eskeys, from the melting ice - surprised one or two of our friends as they played, both the little and the big ones (including myself). It was great to catch up with folk for a chat, to have a great deal of fun. As usual, my heartfelt thanks to the unsung heroes behind the organisation of such an event. Checking out and arranging of the venue, organising the rest of the club to ensure adequate supplies of drinks, food for the BBQ, and allocation of induvudual contribution of food plate (to ensure a selection of foods). This great organisation, and corroboration of all attending members, made the event what it was. I know that I had a great time, and hope that you all also had fun... Catch you all later.
