Default trend vs sport -handling noticeably different?

hi,

I'm looking to buy a focus Trend or Aport (both manuals).
I've test driven the Trend.

What appeals to me about the Sport is the promise of better handling, and the nicer wheels and lower stance. I can take or leave the extra gizmos and painted bits.

The Sport is apparently only 15mm lower.

Has anyone been in a position to compare the handling of both?
Are the handling differences worthwhile in the Sport?

If you're a serious buyer, then I would think a dealer would be willing to let you drive them back to back. It's the best way to compare the difference for you.
