Actually, it would be $1.28 in 2011 so depending on the day, it hasn't changed that much affordability wise.

Ahh... he has reason to complain.. its 1986.
Its like saying gee bread was cheap in 1986 compared to todays price. In 1986 it WASNT cheap... look at the average wage and compare it to today.
