Default Looking at buying a ute

Hey all,

Just a quick question. I am looking at purchasing a falcon ute in the not too distant future and would like some input on what to do. I am looking at spending maybe 18-20k max. This will see me with either of the following:

2004-2007 XR8 or Turbo
2008 Onwards FG XR6.

To be honest i would really like a turbo as i want something with a bit of power, but would it be worth getting an FG just because it is a better driving car? Are the FG's that much better than a BA/BF?

Please note these prices are straight off carsales and this is obviously with no haggling, so there is a bit of room to move.

PS Here are the few i am looking at- http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...defaulthttp://

Cheers in advance.

Default Re: Looking at buying a ute

They are not bad choices. Having owned an FG e-Gas ute XR6 for the last 3 years I'd have to say that it's generally a nicer car to drive than the B-Series cars although I don't find the centre stack as user friendly as the earlier models.

On the down side, $18-20k is probably only going to get a reasonably high km one (80-90k km) although with a full service history that's probably not too bad.

Cheers
Russ
