GT's have only failed twice to make it home.......
XA GT... 4k convertor flashed up and over revved.. spat a heap of pushrods.. BA GT... popped a rear CV and casually rolled up the next driveway and onto footpath.. BA has been driven home a couple of times with popped rear diff covers.. bit noisy and a bit clunky..... |

what failed on the belt tensioner? usually if a bearing is on the way out you hear it a long time before it fails.

Sorry to hear mate, but a poorly maintained car will do that. You said the car had been telling you "for a while" yet left it. It's called a Kodak repair, Let It Develop.
