I've never actually done this but think I will with the car I'm selling at the moment. I'm selling it with a few months reg so they can drive it away and run around to get little bits for the RWC if needed. I'll tell them when I pick up the car they'll have 30 days. Thanks.

OK. Someone drove my car away without RWC, left cash on my hand fully paid. I thought and told him it shouldn't cost lot for RWC, as I got a good service last year replacement windscreen brake pad etc. But buyer phoned me 2 days later that Kmart asked him 1600 for RWC, while he only paid me 2000. I felt so guilty as if I was cheating him with a lemon. I told him to drive back to get money back. The next day, he texted me he would keep it as he was tired of seeking next and he really needs one at the moment. Might be a lession to everyone.

Both buyer and seller beware of NON RWC. It might be trouble to both side.

Why? Sell the car with no RWC, his bill is not your problem.

If the goal of rwc at time of sale is to keep cars in good condition and well maintained - then it is not working - yearly rwc checks would be better choice .

a road worthy cert dosnt prove its road worthy, just that the seller obtained one. To me a car that is safe and reliable is a car I have obtained a road worthy myself.
