Default AU trailer wireing

Does anyone know which colour goes with what in the boot.
I have a au fairmont ghia, its got a plug inside the boot for a trailer but i want to splice in my trailer wires to just before the plug. Thanks

Thanks but I know that I need to know what colour wire in the boot that goes to the plug matches up with the trailer colours

If your splicing the wire use a test light on each individual wire as you go. just turn the lights ,blinker ext. on 1 at a time and match it to the chart
Or undo the cover on the plug in the boot and match it to the trailer plug

or buy this it's just plug in and away you go http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-AU-BA-Fal...item3f0894ba1d the advantage of this for most people is a better connection as most home trailer wiring jobs I've seen have been just twist and tape . in the long run this far from ideal

Fitted one of these to the my AU Fairmont Ghia - well worth the 42 bucks (inc postage)

I removed the plastic cover where the plug is but didn't see a hole,is it behind the number plate?

No, floor of boot rear corner on drivers side - need to run the harness up behind the bumper.
