Theoretically it could work. The boost of a supercharger without the load on the motor. But, I doubt that anyone can build one that works, let alone one cheap enough to copy on eBay.

Steer clear.

It would stuggle to even create boost at idle with the throttle closed,

ok, cheers guys, can you point me in the direction of a nice priced yet still decent one? i just have cheap poddy on atm and im thinking it i doing more harm than good lol

To be honest, don't go near these cheap 'forced induction' mods. If you want to stay N/A, then go for a decent intake and high flow filter. Otherwise, bolt on a turbo/super charger

Try the K&N 57i intake for the Focus, or keep the stock airbox, and use a K&N Panel filter in it, with the intake resonator removed (plenty of info on it - just try the search tool)
