When you lock it via the key, have you checked that ALL DOORS are not locking? Or just the drivers door?

If all the other doors except the drivers door are locking, then it's the actuator in the drivers door which is the electronic motor that locks the door.

$55 exchange on ebay.

A all of the above.
My back left door did not lock (the others did), so I pulled off the actuator swaped it and bing...it still didn't work. So I pulled the 'old' actuator off checked it and the spindle wasn't broken...so I put it back in and bing...it locked. All I can say is good luck

That sounds like a broken actuator to me. Try this
shut all the doors bar one, hit the button to lock but stand next to the open door and watch the lock and see if it moves.
If it moves repeat until you find the loack were nothing happens.
Thats probbaly the broken one

Pull the little lock thing that goes up and down on top of the drivers door. It just pulls off. Then try and lock it and see what happens.
