Default computer problem :S

ok so i started my car up today, and while i was sitting there,i heard a noise sounded like a computer trying to work or a cd player trying to spin a cd when its empty. Kinda of like a buzzing sound but machine like.

i found out it was coming from the passanger side footwell, on the left side.

i remeber when i was installing my sub that there was a computer thing there, so i reckon its got something to do with that.

anyone know how to fix or what the problem it is thats making it play up ? its an annoying noise and i want to get it fixed.

please help me

thanks

i have an after market cd player in so it loads the cd first, wouldnt be any need for the ariel to go up or down when the car is first turned on.

ill check tho.

i have an aftermarket one too but the aerial still goes on and off as it loses power - when I unplug mine from the headunit it makes a whirring noise similar to what youve described, hence why i asked. if you unplugged anything when you installed the sub etc that may have done it.

if your ECU is making an actual noise you've got gremlins in your car
