gday guys
i have finally got my xb john goss coupe back after 3 years,two paint shops & a few dollars later, all i have to do know is find all the bits & put her back together......if anyone has coupe parts please let me know

I love that colour combo,a mate of davids has that same car(a John Goss) sitting in his shed rotting away in Gunnedah,he used let David drive it all the time back in the day...lol...everytime we go to Gunnedah I always say I wonder if he sell it,but we never see him to ask....lol...were the ones with the blue john Goss as well???

i pulled it apart 3 yrs ago & now ive got to find all the bits in my shed,& if anyone has seen my shed you know that they could be anywhere!!!

the jgs came out in blue and green. i believe the blue ones were manuals and the green ones were auto

gday,in actual fact there are green manuals as well & blue autos...so unfortunantly that myth is untrue.

they only made 400 jgs's, they estimate that there is less than 250 left in australia,worth hanging on too

what coupe bits are you after mate? did this gossy come from Taree? (rapleys?) cos they sold one a few years back

i believe the first batch had 400 cars made (july/august) with verticle 1/4 panel indicators and then another 400 (october/november) cars with horizontal 1/4 panel indicators. the second batch may have had as few as 100 made but i think it was another 400. from memory the man himself was unsure, but there would have been more than 400

how many did not fit the blue/manual - green/auto builds. would they have been special orders or whichever colour/gearbox combo you wanted

i have been a forum member for a number of years and have always hankered after a blue goose!

julz i also know of one sitting in a shed but funds and a owner who does not know if he wants to sell has stopped me (my find is just south of kingaroy)

a good example was resently on car sales for $55k.

Looking good Grant. Can't wait to see it out and about. Do you know who owns the one along the Oxford Highway near the nw Coles? Gussing it is a Goss by the colour through the car cover , but never seen it uncovered.

the coupe behind the zl/zk is deffinatley a light colour i would have said white.

it is looking very nice, good luck with finding everything and putting it back together. it will be great to have another cruising around; there can never be too many coupes

my old Goss was a blue auto and all the original ones i have seen over times were auto too, so I think the combos are just a myth. Finally found the ID plates this week.

thanx for the encouragment but it will be a long process putting it back together as everytime i get a little bid of spare time,the miss's gives me more jobs around the house.and as you guys know the wife is a powerful source........... im also getting ready to send one of my xa's to the paint shop as well..

GORDO & FAMILY,i wish i could say i getting closer but truth is now that we have opened up this new cafe,ford work has ceased to my absolute dissapointment ,the boss (alison)is working me like a dog!but apart from that all is well......
