Exclamation 2000 Focus 1.8 DSL Fuel Pump Problem?

Hi, Need some help.

My focus dsl 1.8 2000 - died! the diagnostic check in a ford garage indicatined a fuel pump electrical control problem.

Have now fitted 01 engine with it's own pump, ECU Unit and ignition set. This engine also fails to run.

Any help appreciated!

check all your fuel lines as in the 2000 models they tended to break quite easily, other than that check all wiring and coils and o2 sensor as they will play a key role in your engine
