Default Dodgy or legitimate????

Have a look at this and see what you think for the LR Focus.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...1202848&rd=1,1

Normally these type of ebay items are dodgy

However, Rob Herrod sells a similar helix throttle body spacer for the BA XR8

My guess? Works on a V8. But probably neglible difference on a 4 cylinder.

Thoughts

I think its dodgy, just because others use it doesn't mean it actually works.

If it ain't in the Focus Builder's handbook, avoid it. I reckon it's not going to do much, especially since the TB is so far away from the actual engine intake pipe (where the air literally enters the head.)

From what I know abt TB spacers are that they make very little/negligible diff. If at all they make any diff it would be towards the low end. And claims of 20 HP increases.....Cmon

If you want a mod worth buying, get a intake manifold spacer which reduces the intake manifold temperature.
