would any one ever consider buying an ex hire car BA LTD? my mechanic mate has one that he has serviced since new but it has 330000 kms on it. its the 24 valve V8 model and its in decent condition and drives alright but it is cheap at aroud $14000 i cant help but think that its a lot of car for the money but i would be expect it would have to have driveline wear and would at least need a rebuild of the gearbox and diff. would the engine need a rebuild?? any ideas or views appreciated thanks

330000km on a V8 isnt much. if its been service properly there shouldnt be much trouble with it.
for 14k i would definately snap it up if i was still in the market. |

Hire cars are usually pretty good, especially if they are in a rural area.
Some of the V8 AU LTD's ive been in have 400k plus on them but are in beautiful condition to to them being maintained perfectly (they have to be to get business) and used 90% of the time on the highway.
