Default Anyone here work at Ford CRC (13FORD)?

Hey guys,

I might be getting a job there starting next week as a consultant, but I'm in 2 minds as to whether I should leave my current job and go for it so I want to know if anyone here works there, and if so, what is it like?

Would be like any call center, hard work, and everyone that calls you has an issue, and its all your fault :

It depends, is this a career move or just a job for you?

Just a job for the moment, the big picture is to open a business by the end of next year, saving cash now.

I work for Telstra/UCMS currently and am doing the same sort of customer service work on the phones, but every 2nd or 3rd week I get 2 weeks of supervising/training new people and I'm also a Quality Assurance rep, so the "on the side" stuff with the current job help me stay motivated while on the phones, but at Ford it'd be starting from scratch but it'd be with Ford, so that's the bonus.

The other thing is I'd be leaving all the friends I've made over the last 10 and a half months at UCMS, and at Ford there wont be any opportunity for a long time to move up if I do decide to stay as it's not as fast paced as Telstra, where there are about 25 teams, compared to Ford where there are 2 and the call volumes are very low.

So confused, I've got till this Thursday evening at the latest to make my decision, I don't know what to do!!!

It's not allwaayyysss like that, only about 10% of customers get angry or annoyed. Most people just want there problem fixed and don't give you a hard time unless there's a problem with fixing the problem lol. I don't mind it all. I've been "in the industry" for about 6 years.

Would anyone want to admit they work there. If anyone here revealed that the red back spiders would be in the mail in no time.

If your prepared to be honest and help the customer go for it..if however you are going to fob them off ..like what happened to me...then you will go into my you know what bag.
