What's wrong with that? It is an off-strike. Some people collect these, you know.

It has great potential to increase its value many times over in the future being an Australian Mint coin that was relaesed with a defect ! I dont see whats wrong with selling the coin on EBay !

They sell P0rn as well ,there into everything .and I have a FIJI $5 if you would like one ....Say $10.00 should cover it and lets say $5 for freight ,I mean it would be silly of me to put it in an envelope and put a 45c stamp on it .....

this is where the money is in coins, rarity...defective coins in Australia are rare, thus making them worth more then their denoted amount.

look at the outside rim of the coin, its not all the same size, you can see on the bootom left and top right, the edge has not been stamped sqaure, these coins are normally not let out, so it makes some what rare, but will only be worth something in like 100 years.

Can't be that rare, the first one I pulled out of my pocket is at least as bad on other side. Maybe there is a QA problem at the mint. Or are they made in China now?
Maybe I can get $1.73 on Ebay for it, or should I take it to the bank and get $2.00.

Help........I can't figure out how to attach the picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It said it was uploaded, but to where?????
OK have to figure out out to resize it.

You do know that some ebayers advertise $2 coins ect then get there mate to buy it for $2 just to get there feedback rating up don't you? Not saying this is the case here, but its the oldest trick in the book in the world of ebay.

Too late, I used it for a deposit on my lunch. I mortgaged my house for the rest. (It was fish and chips you know.) :Reverend:

Isn't it a shame that a defective car decreases in value, yet a defective coin increases in value

I guess a limited release is somewhat different than a standard coin with a defective border, which probably happens all the time.
A bit like an autographed, limited edition sports print number 51/100 compared to a normal print of 100,000 with a rip in it. Which one is worth more??????
