usually when im on the site i usually know its a new thread or there is a new post in a thread by the thread title being a darker blue
i dont use the 'new post' button up the top but ive noticed sometimes this doesnt happen in the 'advice' sub forum there is a post i think by hawkgirl who had probs at work, ive posted in that thread and someone else posted after me, yet the thread title has remained the lighter blue and not turned to darker blue indicating someone has put a new post in the thread doesnt happen all the time, but it does happen

It have noticed that sometimes happens, if I have visited the forum and the threads are dark blue, and when returning later in the day (whether I have read them or not) they are light blue. This is only on threads I have replied too.
If I go to subscribed threads (which I automatically subscribe to all threads I reply too) the thread is sitting in my subscriptions dark blue. It is only a little thing and could have something to do with the time difference between log in times. You can just subscribe to threads or view new posts or alternatively, go off of the Lights on the left hand side of the forum as EASYBOSS has said . Cheers Col

Correction to what I said above, I know understand what you mean, but it's more like a bold blue font and an unbold blue font.
Happens all the time for me, threads that I have fully seen the last post are still Bold Blue for some time

That's it.
But its opposite for me. Threads are unbold blue, but there's new posts in them I haven't read Seems to happen in subforums a bit.....but never the pub. No biggy.
