So looking to get back into r/c when last time I had a proper r/c car was 15 years ago when nitro or 2 stroke were king and hardly any good electric car's were around.
I know the hobby has changed a lot in those times especially the electric stuff. What's a good truck to for around 250-300 dollar mark something I can fang around in parks and the local bmx track. Don't really wanna mess with nitro all the mess of the fuel mix all over the car and constant tuning required and hard starts, I'd much rather go for an electric one. |

I'm going to leave budget aside, I bought a traxxas rustler to keep myself occupied just before my kid was born in 09 and it had a brushed motor that was pretty average. I gave it 2 runs then binned the motor and esc for a brushless 12 turn, new esc and 11.1v lipo batteries. It will wheels stand if you aren't careful even at 3/4 top speed. It does owe me more then 300, but electrics have come such a long way. When I was a teenager I had a fully modified buggy, and that thing seems slow and 5 minutes out of a then high end nimh compared to 20 out of an el cheapo lipo.
