A technical question for you guru's.
My Series 3 wagon (FlashCab) comes up on Etis as having a M85LE, These were only supposed to be fitted to the Falcon/Fairmont (EA II, EB I): 3.9-litre, where as all AU I6's should be M93LE. Does anyone know what differences there are and if I can successfully swap the column shift to a floor shift using AU parts or if I can swap the current auto for an AU version without dramas with the BEM etc? TIA

Revival of old thread and hoping to get a better understanding of the interchangeability of the BTR M91 M93 and NOT transmissions.
Specifically I run a couple of 94 NCii Fairlanes (BTR M91LE I assume), plus a couple of BA wagons for towing (M93LE). I have acquired a couple of spare M93LE transmissions and hope these are also useful as spares for the NC Fairlanes. As per the article attached above on page 3 there are numerous modifications between the M91 and M93. Hoping someone with a better understanding is able to enlighten me as to whether an M93 will be a direct fit to a car previously running an M91? |

Is the NC a 6 or a V8?
