a long time ago when I was driving my EL Fairmont Ghia on south rd one night around 10pm.. an E bike totally smoked me from zero to 80 kays an hour. I wasn't racing him, but I did get into it a bit and was amazed at how hard they went back then, circa 2015 or so.. can't remember exactly. I'm sure they must be Fully schick maaaate now days.. and quick to.. Might have to look into it more.. new toy? hmm One Man

hate the sods with a passion, Ive found a really nice way to deter the ridewrs and those mono riders. as the pass you a nerf gun and VERY loud horn put them off their stride.

Ive seen it happen also, right in front of me. Ebikes are kool, well when i say that not that kind. For me a superlight dual suspension bike without the full fat battery and lower nm motor would be what id get. (ive had 2 ebikes in the last few years but dont have one currently) Like this. https://www.amflowbikes.com/au/pl-carbon/specs We had one not long ago at work, the rep bought it in for us to have a look at. The 13k one. It'll turn that specific category on its head! Soz for the off topic.

Also, to do 80 on a flat road on a pedal powered bike, you'd need to be outputting somewhere north of 500w I would suggest. I'm not sure a battery assisted bike could do this. Maybe a liquid fuel was involved. And sorry for off topic. Back to the photos.

Agreed you dont see em all that often, but ive seen many come into work that have been modified. Theres a few brands that claim to have top speeds north of that. I have a mate that does track racing and they converted a hybrid bike so they could use for that purpose (not to race but to lead off the race), that thing will do 80kph no problems. Agreed, back to the pics, this stuff belongs in the cycling thread.

10 years. It's a relatively new interactive experience. Very clever displays and electronic gadgetry.

Not a photo I took... BUT.. I thought it was worth mentioning. I didn't know that this was a thing from the factory, meaning, they fusked up the VIN number, crossed it out, and re stamped a new one below it.
Cheers, One Man

It’s gone from standard BMW to Alpina, may be a fairly common thing.

Reminds me of an experience I had. Bought a Ford Focus from a dealer in NSW. It was an ex company car. Bought it for my in laws.
Drove it back to SA and then in the process of getting the rego changed to SA registration, the police got called. When they were checking the VIN they found some of the letters and numbers looked to be done by hand. They impounded the car. Took weeks to sort out. My 70yr old mother in law was pretty upset by it all. We could provide evidence of the history of the car back to new but I feel it was a bit of a power play by the motor reg knobs. Anyway long story short the police were able to get confirmation from Ford that it was legit but I still had to pay to get the car from the impound. The police were actually pretty good. They were just doing their job. I've bought a few cars from interstate and the guys at the compliance checking building are generally all the same, carrying on like 'want to be' cops..... Unless you were a dealer. Dealers turn up with cars and it's amazing how quickly they get processed. Funny how many dealers sent the cute little office girl to take the cars through too. Sorry for the digression...

Guys, it's simple. Post a photo that you took. It's not chat about no photo's.
Otherwise Cav wins today.
