Well, i'm buggered. And Tommy's home brew ginger beer has just knocked me outta the park, 'cuse the spelling mistakes from hereon.

Wins and losses today, just like any day for anyone, made the bracket for the power steering pump and finally got some dinkin wheel nuts sorted.

Here is just the good stuff, there is more, but, it's too late and I'm too far gone.

Okay, I will try not to write war and peace today. Finally got the third arm crossmember sorted. Mumford crossmember is tomorrow's little game :
screwed the coil overs right down to get an idea of where it sits. the rear burn wheels aren't too different to the rolling diameter of the show wheels.
and it seems to sit okay, just needs some km's on it to settle the suspension in

okay, no photos today, bit slack. Got the boot half mounted. The half equates to the fun of setting boots torsion bars, if you know what I mean, you can feel my pain. Playing with the mumford link crossmember a bit more, get that sorted tomorrow.
Put the nose cone back on as well as the tail light assembly. Making a pile/list of things to go to the electroplaters. Door rubbers, sill steps and a few other fiddly things that make life interesting. :
Throw in some time on the computer for paperwork, talking to Chrisso on the phone and an hour with the panel beater and that's all she wrote for a day.

Okay, more progress today, photos this time, but bloody phone has died!
Need you opinions on a couple of things too :
Rehung some of the door hinges, not being a pro panel beater, this was just awesome fun and can't WAIT to do it again :ticking:

Big Orange plug is the outlet, into the filter housing on the left which is a water/fuel separator 100 micron filter, into the Aeromotive Pump, into the 10 Micron filter, into the big blue moroso bucket (fuel cooler), then off to the front of the big girl to find the regulator :evil3:



Throwing the interior together to get an idea of shape, space and style, then monday the upholsterer and I will be like 2 old rams trying to agree/compromise of the expected finish ing_sm



Need opinions on this, the grille in the car has every 2nd fin taken out. The bottom is the original. I know what I like : , any thoughts?



Okay, in the business I work for, minimum is usually pair for everything, driving this is no different, always a co-driver. Hence the gauges are central for everyone to see and the co-driver to watch the critical stuff when in the fog of war.

So........... (see I do care what you guys think) gauges will be central, no arguments, but the first or the second layout?

In order:

1) If you are running an Alcohol fuel then ditch the 10 micron element and go a 40 micron Stainless screen, the 10 micron cellulose element swells and blocks with Ethanol etc. (If you are running pump then disregard)

2) Every second fin look in the grill is the shitzen.

3) Option 2 gauge layout looks better IMNSHO.

2nd Gauge layout? Groovy. Aeromotive (can't remember the part number now, would have made this sound cooler) I'm assured it is good for 1300HP Blown and 1700HP N/A.

Trying to maintain some simplicity with the grille, however, having said that, I am talking to a few metalsmiths with a couple of ideas. So yeah, maybe still to come.

Did for a bit, coloured printed out all the gauges and played for a while, looks great in front of the driver, but loses something in the centre of the dash.
Don't think I'm even going to bother with a speedo.

I never looked at it like that, but you're right.

The seats in the front will be the same as the back, but with head and neck support. The back seat will be integrated into head rest from the parcel shelf, simpson 4 point harness in all seat, similar to this;

Okay, had a play with the wiring loom and decided that's next weeks job with fuel and brake lines. Steering geometry is looking good. Made up a couple of dash stencils. Upholsterer and I had too much coffee and cigarettes but got all the stencils and plans out.

So .... onto the pics, which is the only reason you're here.

Bum end is looking better, bumpers getting filled, repaired and re chromed right now.



Cut the hole in the bonnet, ruff still, bracing and finishing to come, bonnet pins once the panel beater is happy with everything else.



Steering column sorted with bracket to the firewall. Shifter location brought back, go pedal mounted and cable sorted.



it jumped up and bit me on friday, 6 in all, 2 came on on the weekend riding.

Anyway, highlights and lowlights were, playing with handbrake assemblies, wiring loom, rocker breathers, mumford link, power steering bracket, radiator support mount, plate bracing for 3rd (torque) arm, scoop development and adjusting door hinges.

Hey Ben, lovin that rear link setup and the calipers/mounts look good as well.

Looks like the A1000 fuel pump is on rubber, but if you want some trick mounts then go to your teledex and look under "R" for Rocket and order some MSD 6AL mounts in a pack of 4.... they work a treat!
