Especially now that Supercars is going to be the Ford product from 2019 onwards a special Mustang offered for sale would make great sense surely . It bugs me somewhat that so far the Mustang GT is only good for 306 KW other than the Tickford enhanced ones and the outgoing Falcon XR8 Sprint was good for nearly 40 more kilowatts (345) without overboost and the XR6 was about 20 KW more without overboost . C'mon Aussie Ford boffins and make a racket to get a few extra fast Mustangs to celebrate before it's too late like everything else you do . |

Fair enough , You have two beautiful reasons in your garage to know all about that . I still think that as Australia has responded in such a positive way to the Mustang , actually significantly surprised most for the demand according to what I've seen , there should be a bit of a reward with some special ponies over time . Even if it's just a bigger options opportunity as time goes on .

The full monty version of the Miami was never released. That would have been a giant killer of an engine.

Back in the real world, 500 hp out of a Coyote is withing reach with a tune.
Although called a MT82-4, the new close ratio box in '18 Mustang should be familiar to FPV buyers, it's now a TR6060. |

unfortunately they couldn’t stand competition, almost everyone switched when new competition offered a wider choice of vehicles

I dropped into the Barry Bourke Holden dealer this afternoon to see what they had on display. A salesmen comes outside to see if he can 'hook one'. I tell him they probably can't sell a ZB Commodore to last week's division 1 lottery winner. "Oh we are selling many of them". ****ing liar.

This reminds me of Ford dealers trying to sell Taurus Ghia all those years ago..
Great car but people just couldn't get past the looks and what it was, FWD. First job is to get people into the showroom, fail that and all the rest is for nought.. |

I've seen one ZB (I think it was a base model) and multiple Stingers.
TBH, I don't think the ZB is a bad car in isolation, but considering what it is up against and what it replaces....yeah not looking good. |

Have been following a feed on the automotive section of Whirlpool Forums. One of the posters is obviously a Holden dealership employee. He was saying(in reply to another poster.) that they have let go quite a few employees over the past few years. He was also saying that their service dept is dead in the car servicing area.He also believes that the ZB is overpriced.Cheers

To be fair I found this on my usual scroll through car You Tube vids last night .
Here's the RS Commodore (choke whenever I say or type that) but regardless Commodore 4 cylinder 2.0 Turbo version . The car itself is okay but it's compromised in various ways even in this market being the mid sized one and same with the V6 with competition there . Holden needed to recognise it's just not a standout anywhere. Serious revamp very quickly or it's a dead duck if not already . The bloke said that the Holden release was the catalyst for this comparison . Actually not a bad review for the family market between the Holden , Subaru Liberty , Toyota Camry and Ford Mondeo . Quite enjoyed the aspects the bloke focused on . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgQ7GQbn0e8 |

Sure the N/A coyote is impressive .....but they don't have the edge over the Miami the auto is the main benefit the mustang torque peak is at 4600rpm the auto is keeping it close to peak ...the Miami's torque peak which is the same is flat from 2200rpm to 5500rpm .....no comparison .....and as for them being 10kw up on Miami any tuner will tell you the 335kw figure is under rated some are close to making that at the wheels

Miami will get hammered to 100 no doubt, but I want to see how they hang on from 100-250. That's where the relentless power of the Miami shines. On overboost it has a healthy advantage. Good times. ![]()

The miami would eventually run it down but it would take a lot of road. The mph the stangs are running prove its no slouch though.
