I was hoping it was going to be something I could do in forscan but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Yes, it is definetly available to anyone including DIYers. facebook.com/testerPresent

Heres a Visual Studio Solution of JasonACTS program. I am unsure why the repo was deleted. and I have put this up without his permission, if he asks me I will have to take it down.

Tech Writer: Recognition for the technical writers of AFF - Issue reason: Outstanding work on the FG ICC issues. Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: The insane amount of work he has put into the Falcon FG ICC is unbelievable. He has shared everything he has done and made a great deal of it available to us all. He has definitely helped a great deal of us with no personal gains to himself.

M8, you can do whatever you want with it all, but don't put words in my mouth.

That goes for anyone using it commercially, and wanting to restrict distribution.

I made no such request.

is this on the bench? you might find that security access requests will fail unless the FDIM receives the right CAN messages from the rest of the car. at very least I think you just need to send 0x406 byte 2 set to higher than 0x05 (I think). Or you can try it to a module in the car. That message is just ignition on.

edit: here are some scripts that may help https://github.com/jakka351/FG-Falco...esources/Tools
specifically this one called "wake_fdim.sh" https://github.com/jakka351/FG-Falco...s/wake_fdim.sh
JasonACT's arduino sketch with my handy dandy comments for the thick: https://github.com/jakka351/FG-Falco...s/CAN_test.ino

Explanation of how to set the FDIM display to be either Single Zone or Dual Zone.

There is a memory.location accessible via Diagnostic service 0x22 readDataByCommonId in the mark 1 and 2 Colour FDIMs located at 0xE205 that can be set to 0 for No AC, 2 for Single Zone or 3 for Dual Zone. Writing to the memory location can be done via service 0x2E and doesn't require security access.

We probably did........ I am ordering OBD2 Usb lead....

Somehow it seems the FGX HIM is different?? All FGX have climate control, however some a single zone and others are dual...... I wonder if its same HIM for both. Then some programming on the APIM and also installing the 2nd motors on drivers side???

Being not a lot FGXs around, there is not a lot of interest it seems. Even less FGX one tonner pov spec utes.....
Then to throw in the mix, swapping over to Sync3

Update:

I have created a J2534 implementation of JasonACTs FG2ICCComms program, same thing just uses a J2534 Interface instead of the ELM327.

Available for download from the github https://github.com/jakka351/FG2ICCCommsJ2534

And my program FoA Orion Comms which is a full diagnostic and firmware suite for the FG Falcon, able to Flash the PCM, Read the IPC EEPROM, lalalaladeee da is available for purchase. It is derived from FG2IPComms but has become its own beast.

It would be fairly easy to replace that whole 9v / ?v (dimmed) LED Driver part with a custom mod (9v regulator, Arduino & MOSFET - PWM driven with a new plug for the red/black wires). So one way or another, I reckon it will live again.

I'm going to try to link pins 1 & 5 on the large board today - to see if it'll power up without the small board plugged in.. With them sandwiched, it's hard to take any readings while it's on.
Hey

Could you pretty please pm me

Mine played up last year but it did not fully die (similar to yours) but put a new battery in and it has been good ever since. So first up I suggest you see if your battery is OK. Cheers
