Spotted this dugite while driving around my cousins farm today, looked brilliant in the full sun shining of his dark scales. About a metre and some long.

Drove through Dumbleyung in WA south west yesterday.
This is a replica of Donald Campbell's Bluebird, set a world record on Lake Dumbleyung, 444kmh.

Some random pics from my last 5 week stint at sea, spent most of our time supplying the Jack-up Drill Rig V-107, also did our normal supply runs to the FPSO Montara Venture with a few trips to the WHP (Well Head Platform) The WHP ties in all the subsea Well Heads in the field then pipes the light crude to the FPSO.....The Valaris-107 is doing maintenance work on the 13 well heads.
Drifting in a flat calm and windless sea. Sunrise. The 'office' with both aft and forward control stations, you need lots off buttons, switches, levers, joysticks, computers, touch screens and annoying alarms to drive a ship these days, no room for a wheel though! Aft control station. Forward control station. Working the Rig. Working up close to the WHP. Alongside the FPSO discharging 350m3 Diesel up to them..... This is an older FPSO and still needs regular fuel runs for it's generation plant, most of the new ones run of the gas coming up from the well. Edit: Check out our newish shackle collection. ....next time out I'll grab some pics from below decks for the engineers amongst us.

That really is like another planet. Amazing structures and “landscapes”, it’s clear by the way you take the pictures, it’s a job you enjoy.

Definitely, plus I like to think I'm doing my part in delaying the EV onslaught

Thank DJR, great pics and a great insight into what goes on with these giants of the sea.
Be interested to know what that document is tucked in behind the skippers chair, 5th picture, "Tribal Knowledge and..." Planning a trip ashore in PNG or something?

Only 10 of this vessel type were ever built and no two are the same, the TK document points out the main differences between this ship and the other 9 of the same type, the one in the chair is the bridge copy, there's another 6 or 7 for other areas on the vessel. Skippers Chair.....I will have to let the rest of my deck officers know this, they obviously think it's anybody's as im always finding them using it

The first and last vessel of this type/design (V Class) where built nearly six years apart, there isn't a shipyard around that can build ten of these ships side by side at the same time so four were built in Japan, three in South Korea and three in Batam. The technological and engineering advances/changes that happen to the individual componentry in a vessel of this type in just six years are enormous, these changes are applied to the vessels throughout the build program so that #1 and #10 are worlds apart in some areas while on the surface appear to be the same.
