Should have been a multiple choice poll :

AC/DC for the win but my vote to the Oils (Peter Garret for PM )

I have plenty of the others in my collection; Chisels, Oils, Angels, INXS, Divinyls, Icehouse (Flowers :voldar02: ), Men at Work etc. etc.

But where's AUSTRALIAN CRAWL - Boy's Light Up, light up, light up......

I'm with you Quasi, also missing Easy Beats, Hush, TMG

Tizzle, who the hell are they ? (showing my age)

I can't pick just 1 sorry, having grown up the northern suburbs of Sydney I grew up with INXS Oils Mentals Ted Mulray Clapton and more........ah the good real pub rock days !

For outright success here and OS (not just USA) can't beat ACDC and INXS for me.

Ahhh Dont we love Ole Garrets Lyrics! I love this song.

Midnight Oil - US Forces

US forces give the nod
It's a setback for your country
Bombs and trenches all in rows
Bombs and threats still ask for more

Divided world the CIA
Who controls the issue
You leave us with no time to talk
You can write your own assessment

Sing me songs of no denying
Seems to me too many trying
Waiting for the next big thing

Will you know it when you see it
High risk children dogs of war
Now market movements call the shots
Business deals in parking lots
Waiting for the meat of tomorrow

Everyone is too stoned to start emission
People too scared to go to prison
We're unable to make decisions
Political party line don't cross that floor
L. Ron Hubbard can't save your life
Superboy takes a plutonium wife
In the shadows of Ban the Bomb we live

Sing me songs of no denying
Seems to me too many trying
Waiting for the next big thing

I was at a party recently where all these 40-50 year old people were playing Wolfmother and dancing around to it, they thought it was from their era!

ahhhh, , I think my choice is obvious..

AC/DC.

Technically they are still an Australian band, even if Phil ( drummer ) was the only member actually born in Oz.

but i thought that The Angels would have scored better. Closely followed by Chisel and Midnight Oil.. ( great band, but too political )

Rockin Thread !

AC/DC

p.s It will be interesting to see how Jet and Wolfmother go after a few more years....
