I just watched it.

It is awesome.

Funniest line Matter "He did what in the cup?"
I was in tears....

Another great Pixar film. I suggest everyone sees it.

Note: Like FATF3, it also promotes drifting.

Just saw it an hour ago. What interested me was the advertisement for the turbo territory!!!!!!!!!! You see a normal pic of the turbo terri, and theres someone in the background talkin about how good it looks, then all of a sudden you hear this engine roar (cant remember much about the sound, but it was loud and sounded like a V8). And man, that thing rumbled the whole cinema. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

I saw "Cars" the other night in the cinema , and thought it was fantastic. I may be 21 years old with 18 years experience but its not just a kids movie . I too was impressed with the attention to detail the animators went too ( the rubber marbles on the race track, dust on the tyres) and the comparisons to real life is amazing. How about "Jr" the number 8 nascar? The piant jobs on the cars in the opening scene race are very similar to real race teams on todays nascar curcuit. My favourite part was tractor tipping ! I nearly blacked out I was laughing so much !

I think Pixars best movie so far , and a realy enjoyed their previous efforts. Well worth the $$ to watch!

Also...did anyone else notice that the Porsche started off with a little whale tail, but lost it towards the end; I swear I say it at the start!

the tail on that model only comes up at a certain speed say 40mph or so.

GReat family movie by the way

Lightning is probably a combination of various cars moulded into what the designers wanted. I doubt you could say it was one particular car or another.

I saw this last night.

By far one of the best animated movies, I've ever seen and it went for a while too.

Almost 2 hours. That's awfully long for a kid's movie. :

I thought Lightning looked smaller than every other car on the track and a bit Mazda ish, although I don't know which model, then the girl cars that fell for him were both MX5s.

It was a great movie, took my nephew 4, I'm Docs age.

Saw Cars on the weekend good movie. Think there was a mention of Lightning being a Corvette. But I could be wrong.

I think that mention was about Sally running off with a corvette...or something like that. It was actually related to Lightning McQueen.

Took the family on Sat night to see it and loved it. Not a totally "laugh out loud" type of film but excellent in its amination, sound, story and effects. Another Pixar classic.

2 favourite bits are the tractor tipping(lookout, thats Frank) and the pitsop! Was laughing hard at both of them.

Just got back from seeing the movie. It was well worth it. Unfortunatley, due to technical difficulties an hour and a half into the movie, it was stopped and we missed 10 minutes of the movie because it had no sound. A little dissapointed. But as we exited the theatre, management was there handing out free tickets. So now we can go back and see another movie and have till December to use it. Good quality service is hard to come by, but Hoyts really came thru.

1 free ticket per person which is great. I'm not too concerned about the 10 minutes i missed. Will catch when it comes to DVD.
