Always been a fan, bought all the dvd sets. It was apparently cancelled because when Fox were screening it in the states, they put it on at an oddball time and the ratings dropped off. It's Matt Groening's best work by far, i love it more than i love.... well anyway.

Taronga Leela: (talking about Fry, when he thinks he's a battle droid after being returned from a robot insane asylum) "I'm going to remind him of his manhood the way only a woman can..."

Professor Farnsworth: "What, you're going to do his laundry ?"

There are too many lines to quote. Also TV has always aired it as 5 seasons, mixing up the episodes for some bizarre reasons, when there were only 4 seasons made.

Amy & Kif making out while the 'buggalo' (mars species of cattle/buffalo) fly past making a thunderous type noise. Kif: "Did we just make love ?"

Family Guy just S*8ts all over everything else.

Lawyer: Peter, Sarah has decided to press sexual harrasssment charges against you.
Peter: Sarah...Is that the one we video taped taking a dump?

Stewie: Did you hear that Meg? Guys can marry other guys now. So...this is awkward, but I mean, if they can do that, that is pretty much it for you, isn't it? I mean you as well pack it in. Game over.

Bonnie: Somebody save him, he can't swim!
Peter: Oh, he's not even kicking. Kick Joe, kick.
Lois: Peter, he's a paraplegic!
Peter: That doesn't mean he can't hear. Kick Joe, kick!

Peter (when he's hungover): This sucks worse than that time I went to that museum. (Flashback to childhood, standing in museum looking at dinosaur
skeltons.)
Peter (as a child): Why did all the dinosaurs die out?
Man at Museum: Because you touch yourself at night.

Peter: I'll handle it, Lois. I read a book about this sort of thing once.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?
Peter: Oh yeah.

The Simpsons for me. Can't stand the others, I tried to enjoy them but the humor is uneven.

They are making six DVD movies. The movies are also going to be chopped up, re-edited and changed into a series for Comedy Central on TV next year.

Family guy has run out of steam, the latest episode from a couple of days ago was that awful I canned it halfway through. Newest Simpsons isn't much better. 18 seasons is enough milking!

I hope they do more Futurama but it was also starting to get a bit sappy between Fry and Leela near the end.

New simpsons are different, but they're still good. Damn good.

OK, so i probably only laughed aloud a few times during the new ep... but still loved every minute of it.

But then i like the characters, the town and the world that groening has created... i'd still watch it if it were a cartoon drama.

Oops, I meant FOUR DVD movies...

Quote from Matt Groening:
"I was frustrated when it got cancelled, but Fox, 20th Television is the one who came back and said, 'Would you like to do a DVD movie?'" Groening recalled. We said, 'Let's do two' and they said, 'Well, why not three?' and we said, 'Well, why not four?' and they said, 'Okay, four' and then that's it."

After this, Comedy Central won a bid to air the films as new "Futurama" episodes. "We're writing them as movies and then we're going to chop them up, reconfigure them, write new material and try to make them work as separate episodes. Chopped up is an indelicate way of putting it but we are doing them as movies and then we are reconfiguring them and writing new material and narration and this that and the other so that they'll stand on their own as episodes."
