All the stations seem to have their own flavour of the month where they say it's "all new", but they still get so repetitive! When the radio's on in the car I'll just swap between every preset till there's something decent, lately K-Rock in Geelong has been ok with those songs you havent heard in years, till the reception runs out. Other than that it's Gold 104 or Triple M for the cage, sometimes the oldies on 3AW to hear some whinging!

I remember when Triple M did the classic 9 at 9, it always seemed to be the same 9 day in day out. Well, maybe thats an exaggeration, but I'd be surprised if they had more than a week's worth of different songs because they always seemed to be playing the same few.

I dont listen to anything but Triple J, ocassionally switch to a CD Breiflly when hip hop comes on. Its the only radio station that has decent conversations on it, im forced to listen to nova fox or Mix at work, the crap they talk about is so petty and unimportant, they crap on about going clubbing what to wear and the same old male VS female stuff.

At least the j's uses witty humour, something chris and craig were very good at.

Cheers

Loved Adam and Will in the morning. Dr Karl is great on Thursdays but thats about it. My radio is on JJJ put have a stacker so don't listen that much anymore, mainly because of the bogan music.

The J's all the way.

To quote Adam and Will's bumper sticker.
"Some of the music's sh|t, but that's demorcracy!"

The only half intelligent FM presenters out there. I like that they're national too!

The radio in the truck is always on JJJ, I like the variety, but they dont play enough punky/hardcore stuff... *shrugs*

Adam and Will were terrific, and so were Chris and Craig. I listen to it pretty much all day, but if they play a few too many bad songs in a row the CD gets put in. CD's are always in when im in the car though.

Been listening to the J's since they were Double J in Sydney....so a long time.
Will never listen to anything else.
You never get the boring repetative she!te that you do on the commercial stations.
For a joke in the work ute over Xmas we listened to Nova and MMM and by the 3rd day I was predicting very sucessfully the songs you would hear in the next hour....
And I can only cop so much Billy Joel

"Bong head crap"??? What a stupid comment.

It's like classifying all Nova listeners as sissy's driving Excels and Fiestas e

Don't hurt me Danny!

If I have to listen to the radio, it's the J's or RRR. I hate Will Anderson, he is the biggest try-hard comedian I've ever come across... Listen carefully, even Adam starts to tune out with Will's crap.
Mp3 all the way for me now.

JJJ may have lost its appeal a bit lately but its still a whole lot better than any other sh*t played on the radio these days.

I listen to JJJ heaps in Townsville NQ, , as the rest of the radio stations suck ***...... They are too commercialised and I cannot cop listening to the crap that the DJ goes on about ( Hot FM, Sea FM, Mix FM ) They get 12 year olds to ring up after school , , have dumb games and stupid pranks. JJJ seem to be more conserative towards the mature minded people with a brain....

The commercial radio stations have a "road crew" where they stop on the side of the road and give away useless rubbish, , like Milk, Bread and poxy movie tickets..

Well thats my Whinge, , ,

Cant wait for Digital radio, , like the USA !

Craig

Rock On JJJ

JJJ rules the airwaves. I love listening to the radio. JJJ has been my fave station for about 15 years now. Ok, some of the stuff you don't like, but hey it's like Adam and Will's bumper sticker as mentioned above. "Some of the music is crap, but thats democracy!"

I believe my diverse musical interests (Blues, Rock, Soul, Drum and Bass, Techno, English bands, Aussie stuff, Alternate and up and comers) have come about because of JJJ.

The morning crew with Jaye and the Doctor are funny,
Mel in the morning is ok (a little too much hip hop),
Myf (oh miffie!) is such a blast! Trashy lunch time request anyone?,
Terri and Ross has been a summer highlight too!
Rosie superrequest is always good for a laugh and some hot songs,
Coma FM (anybody want some tickets to ComaToza? We've got Nickelback, a band that sounds like Nickelback and plenty of others who do too...)
Richard Kingsmills Home and Hosed (Aus music show)
And Hack, the most enlightening factual bits of nitty gritty reporting that you'll hear anywhere. If the truth needs to be known, then it will be.

It's a fantastic station, with excellent music, insightful and informative. None of this lets give you some carp... amateur bodily function, boy v girl jokes.

Not forgetting, I always get a kick out of hearing others talking about the latest on the radio (ie commercial) and its about 3 months or more behind.

PS the only other station i have found i liked when travelling through sydney is WSFM.

Go the J's

When was the last time you listened to JJJ??

They haven't been on for years..

I don't like Will Anderson as a comedian, but on radio, he was good. A bit predictable, but still a laugh. Stand up, ie the Edinborough Comedy Festival, makes me cringe when he does his set.

He seems to get way too excited about being there. He's great on The Glasshouse though, very quick witted and seems a lot more calmer in delivery.

I've been listening to jjj since it reached Coffs Harbour (where i used to live as a teenager) around the "Mikey and Helen" Era.... Haven't really listened to it that much since "Merrick and Rosso" Left Tho..... I liked will anderson on the Radio - but his laugh made me change channels sometimes...

and long gone are the days of "Mikey and Paul" in the mornings :(

Good point(although I'd say months rather than years) but someone else made mention of the Adam & Will combination... I just had to give Will a bit of stick. He reminds me of the guy at the party who's had 4 more beers than everyone else and decides the world is his oyster and he's going to make it laugh...

TOTP...
