I've ripped a 6.42 in the Clio with a hard launch on a cold night. That was nice.

Haven't done the Utes, but once did my old EF 5 spd manual and got about 7.9 lol I though it was the quickest thing going round back then. Ya hoo.

I'm just about to put a deposit on a VW Golf R which apparently is good for as low as 5.36s 0-100 in stock DSG form. and as low as 4.6 with an apr stage one chip tune.

ok i thought id try to get this thread going again with some updates i put on a powerbond underdrive and i have to say im pretty disapointed i havnt really felt a difference and my 0-100 times have largely stayed the same. is there something im doing wrong?! 6.8secs for the mods in my sig seems pretty slow to me and ive lately done all of the services eg, cleaned throttle body, diff oil, trans flush+new filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and a dodgy coil. what have others got with simalar mods? im losing hope with the n/a maybe time for the turbo..

What you need is 2 more cylinders and a supercharger.

I can vouch for that! VWs DSG is a work of art. Coupled with a diesels torque they are very suprising packages.

My old 3.5L V6 Magna did 8.2 in the rain. Not bad really for a FWD sedan.

Even a Pagani Zonda R would be scared by you with a time only 0.45 seconds in front of you and he has 750 kw, 710 nm and a mass of 1050 kg.

That will do. If your result is accurate which I highly doubt it is, you are whipping some pretty strong contenders and often by a considerable margin.

Even compared to my own F6 which has shown pretty consistent times of 5.5 seconds, 3.15 is a whole 2.35 seconds quicker. Personally, I think you need to double check your device against other methods.

0-100 times don't mean anything, you can gear a car to get a good 0-100.

quarter mile or 60mph - 120mph is where its at.

on another note, i'm driving a FG xr6 na for a week (hire car) and its damn slow compared to my car. slightly better initial turn-in than the bf but the interior is still cheap and nasty. overall not much of an improvement.

as for the 0-100 in 3.15 seconds - it has to be wheelspin, as it then takes over 5 seconds to reach 153kph

My current daily driver would easily crack the ton in under a minute. Easily. As long as its down hill. Poor Patrol.

My previous rides did it in a much brisker time frame. 2003 XR6T with 290rwkws, 2.5k stall, injectors, flash blah blah did it in 5sec on road with a decent launch, im sure it went quicker on the strip but i have no proof of that.

But it couldnt get near my Subaru Legacy wagon, with Ver3 STi engine, 22psi, drag auto with 3k stall, it could rattle off low 4's on road all day every day (or untill the auto gave up). Unfortunately thats where the XR6T would then kill it. Had issues making power up top, unlike the XR. Ran high 12 qtrs.

I know its frowned upon, but its great having a car that can rip off the line. Pitty my ZD aint a powerhouse, yet.

FWIW my XR5T has a claimed 6.8sec to 100. Mine will be slightly quicker and even quicker next week.
Ive never bothered to see as i dont really care, i bought it to go round corners fast not a straight line.

I think the intake & filter one refers to a XR6T, and the heavy mod refers to a XR6 N/A.

Finally got around to logging my turbo using the XCAL3, my best runs were:

Run
1: 4.621
2: 4.765
3: 4.596

And a pretty graph!

You can see wheelspin in the middle where I shifted, couldn't quite keep it below the knife edge of grip. Would love to log a prepped track 1/4 mile run!

Yep SCT livelink, straight to the laptop (XCAL3 won't record squat by itself, grr). Oh yeah if someone could explain the desired boost/boost error thing that'd be good. I didn't log boost in my usual way but this gave funny numbers.

Cortina 0-100km is 5.5 seconds give or take 0.3

Big heavy 7'er will do it in 8-9, brand new it is said to do it in 7 but I need a oil change and new air filter.

Before my manifold swap my ebv8T was 4.5sec 0-100, unfortunately my camera was an still is broken so the original vid of 5.8 sec stands.

My mods were 1.7rr, h.o phenolic spacer, gizzmo ebc, 76mm maf, 42lb injectors and t60-1 to4r @ 8.7psi.

Yeah it is 4L engine is basically the same as the 4.4L, still good power output (210kw) from a 243ci v8.

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4129200_n.jpg

The 4.4L later models were 100kg heavier with only an extra 4hp so I imagine the acceleration was made up for in the gearing.

Maccaxr here is my contribution to your thread;
Most vehicle 0-100 times you'll find in motor magazine etc but considering you're getting around 6.8 sec 0-100 consistently, i thought I'd throw in some specs of my old Ralliart Magna in comparison. A very underrated car that will surprise many I'm sure.

02/03 TJ Ralliart Magna 3.5 lt, 5 Speed Tiptronic, Naturally Asperated, Kerb Mass: 1,520 kgs, 180kW & 333Nm

0 -100 in 6.58 sec & Quarter mile in 14.80 sec @ 155.60 kmph

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Not bad for an N/A 3.5 lt Mitsubishi hey? Very underrated car and very good around a track. Quite rare too, less than 500 here in Australia now. Sad i had to sell mine.

I know of a Supercharged Ralliart Magna in NSW doing the quarter mile in 12.9 sec. Damn quick for a fwd car.

What app is that? Where did you run the 14.8 that's probably the best time there is for an auto non fi magna

Edit... I see the app produces a time slip LOL

Has it been on a real strip?

The app is PocketDyno+ on the Iphone, damn cool little app. All done via GPS so its extremely accurate... a hell of a lot more accurate than a video camera, lol. As soon as your car moves a mm it starts. I did a few runs, Firstly a 14.98, 15.1, 14.87, 15.07 and the 14.80. (some of these were without the manual tiptronic shift ) Perfect launch on the 14.80 along with everything else. I was skeptical at first about the accuracy of the app but gee it's amazing how accurate it is. The Iphone needs to be attached to a suction cap phone holder on the windscreen so that it reads movement only from the positioning in the car.

All done safely out on a back flat road.

Never got to a real strip with mine but others have achieved a 14.7 in a manual Ralliart Magna. It's the best time I've ever seen out of an auto using tiptronic mode in a Ralliart Magna. I tried without using the manual shifts and the best i got was a 15.07
