I suspose they are very hard to get item and very expensive too being second hand, not like a LS1

I don't think so mate i think 425hp was the tops.

I had a good day today. I would like to thank Julie, Texas, Alan Loveday and Bill eskine for there help with the BBQ i was with. Alan Cliff and Neil and Steven Jubb did well with all the cars. And to Simon for listen to me and al Loveday to stop worrying. And to all the other members and Volinteers it was a nice day with no hiccups ( except for the trailer getting wings. Ask al Loveday) and ALL people that attended had a top time.

The results for All people were very good. Holden guys really stood up and put pressure on the Ford guys for all the classes. The jap cars were very good and for one Nissan Patrol, it was all Glory to the organisers.

I Should've brought the T down but hey i cannot drive two cars, Just two trailers. For the Guys in the 6 Cyl and 4 Cyl, You guys get my tick of approval for effort and just for having the balls to go and do it infront of the whole crowd which want V8 grunt.

Will attend the next dyno day for sure when it happens.

Cheers

Brian

P.S To the guy in the Charade, I love watching a golf cart go that hard. And also to the tools that tried to look good outside the event, Go back and haunt the local Maccas carpark

Default Who asked those Holdens

You know what sometimes its good to be beaten, sorry I let the ford team down, Ive checked my compression, leads, valve springs all ok so far but I will find out why its running on 7 1/2 cylinders and get my 40rwhp back what a time to play up just when we needed it by time it got home it wouldnt even idle, With all that behind me what a great day heaps of people tough cars even if they were holdens, Thanks for all the work and organizing by Simmon Molloy. Lance from Autobarn was flat out all day too he dosent mind giving other peoples cars a good rev I cant remember ever seeing my shift light on for so long and that tacho at 7800rpm for so long either thanks,

I thought alot of cars were very baddly ( spelling) tuned and not running right. I heard alot of pinging and breaking down when ramping up tho i sometimes wonder if people actually look after cars except putting oil in and soap on it. The best was the VP belina i think, Leaned out at 4 grand. I felt sorry for the guy that owned it. He just didn't know and that is why all people should get regular tuning done on Carby cars and Injected cars get regular checks on injectors and AFR's to make sure they run sweet as.

I was one that didn't bring out the T due to it not being 100% right for shoot outs. Tho with it still at 6 grand limiter, i could've made some ground up for our side. But it is all up to owners to look after them and i just hadn't had time to get everything right ( need that Motec soon) and make it home.

Your ute did very well and maybe timing is an issue for that car around 4-5 grand. Sounded like it was drowning and then just got it's head above the water line and then it ran out of revs.

Just my 2c

Brian

Well, I for one had an awesome day. Thanks to the guys at Autobarn Taree for the graet job, and also all the organisers and volunteers mentioned above from our club, and the SES.

The only thing that would have made it better would have been some of those commondore boys putting their V6's on, so I could show them how much better an inline was, LOL!

For a bog stock car with NOTHING done to it, I am VERY happy with my 197.7rwhp. Didn't quite crack the 200, but when you're only expecting about 180-190 you can't really complain.

I did get some good pics, but don't have much time to sort through them.

Catch you all later.
