Yeh I liked it. Very computer game intro like. They should have used real cars tho!

The F6 in the add looks matt black. I agree that the F6 in the add looks good, even though if you added up the screen time it would amount to little more than a second.. I'd buy an F6 in matt black!

Go easy on FPV. I'd rather they spent their money on engineering integrity than on marketing any day. I reckon there's too much emphasis on marketing hype. As we are 'all' enthusiasts, we are the least likely to be influenced by ads in our purchasing decision.

Enthusiasts usually know every detail on such cars (i.e. FPVs) and would have enough nous to test drive the cars that make the shortlist, to then decide on the most suitable vehicle. Of course, some enthusiasts know what they want and don't shop elsewhere... nothing wrong with that either, especially if that vehicle ticks all the right boxes...

as a 3d artist I think the CGI was pulled of pretty well.

The ad is pretty dull and unmemorable though, why cant it be something ford fans can talk about on the weekends. Instead its just publicity on a budget, thats not a good image for total performance.

Imagine if Bently lowered their image standards, they would get shot at.

I don't mind it, but I do agree it's missing something. The cars look fantastic in it tho, everytime I see the FG GT and F6 I like them even more, so tough!

Too true............however, by the looks of it.........they didn't spend much time or money on the ad.

The whole thing is baseless and unemotive. The GT looks great but the F6 with the matt black look just looks like an extra in a B grade cop chase movie..........???

Although enthusiaists know what they're buying and are sure of the image............what does this ad say about FPV to the general public of whom thousands will see it on TV ????? BOGAN CITY.......methinks.

saw this add during v8 commercial today. it look good.
Can not criticise FPV this time. The commercial show the car has the power, the speed and the style to eat any other car.
In the commercial, look like the Gt beats the F6. The F6 guys may not be happy.....LOL...

as another who work in the cg/3d animation industry I can second that ,that add would not have been cheap, far from it in fact.
I personaly thought it was a good adverstisement for the FPV brand, it certainly grabbed my attention. What was everyone expecting, shakespeare ? It shows fast cars tearing across a salt plain, fast editing, fast, fast fast !!! thats the point aint it ?
It seems as though most people cant wait for the next thing to tear down when it comes to the new falcon.

Yep a very good ad in my opinion. The F6 and The Gt are in the best colour that suit them i think also! Black F6 and that new yellow colour with black stripes look fantastic..!

Saw the ad today during the V8's aswell.

Really should have used real cars rather than CGI. This makes a bad ad especially when its trying to sell the product. Its like that its embarrassing to actually have real cars so they used CGI?

I'm disappointed.

I'll give my 2 cents worth.

Watched it, at first i thought it was very low budget.

10 minutes later watched it again......and i think its a very well produced short piece of entertainment. CGI is fantastic, the 2 cars "dueling" looks tops, the quick action shots are actually perfect for tempting and not over exposing.

But the voice-over sux.

Keep getting drawn back to this ad though.....

The concept behind that ad is good Thunder but by god is it bogany. The VB signage in the background, etc. It wouldn't suit the FG either.

Yes your right. What i was referring to was the fact that the BA ad had NO voice-over! It had great footage, great music, great sound effects....and thats it until the the end.

The FG ad, would be better in my opinion if the voice over was removed and the soundtrack & sound effects turned up.

Oh and did anyone else notice the helicopter effect?

I to thought it was ok, I agree with you on the voice over should have used someone like the one KPM have used, hits the message across to the viewer.

heres a youtube link. imo the parts where the two cars flies past towards the camera made the ad look too much like a videogame...if that, and the final group shot were taken out, it woulda looked abit more convincing: those parts just made it look very fake.
