You're not coming to sydney to deal with the 14.5 tonne blocks of sandstone theyre harvesting from a site in pyrmont? I do works in the building across the road and theres a constant roster of 2 ex army trucks taking away the massive blocks.

Humongous burger and chips as a late lunch at the local café. I'm gonna miss this place.

Got some good positive feedback from a client today. I took it as him being a bit hostile asking for a written detailed report on what i did on a simple 30 minute job that i took my time on. Turns out he has had another company on 4 occasions attempt the same job and each time spent around 2 hours to say it cannot be done. He is going to send my report and invoice to the other mob expecting them to pay it and refuse to pay their invoice. Thats not the way the world works, but i may have scored the company i work for a new client.

Sold another one of the toys to a bloke who was absolutely in love with the car. Always nice to hand over the keys to one of the prized possessions to someone who appreciates it.

The courtesy of others while standing in the queue for the checkout at Aldi, I only go to Aldi for coffee, never more than 5 items per visit and everytime, without fail, if the person in front of me has more items than me they insist I go first and it’s the same at every store

If only that would happen in Woolworths.

Aldi doesn't have an express lane like woolworths, so people possibly feel obliged.
Last time I was in woolworths the express lanes were full of people with 30+ items, lifting them out of a trolley 1 by 1.... surely they should realise a normal register with a belt is better? Guy behind me joked that it's all buggered now since they introduced things like 12 items or less, or 15 items or less - he joked that once they went past 10 the morons could no longer count their items.... Once upon a time it was 5 items or less.... and it really was an express lane. |

Only had one woman refuse me so I left the trolley with her and told her she can put all the stuff back on the shelf instead then, before walking out. Quote:

The sense of achievement and the im back and still have it feeling i had driving home today. I havent worked this hard since last march but thats not me being lazy, its been a long recovery from a nerve issue i had in my arm. Whilst it sucks having to work hard on your birthday (im now officially almost old at 31), the job sucked because working on construction sites sucks, but the guy i was working with also put in a massive effort and what would probably be considered a day and a half to 2 day job we smashed in 7 hours. The client was over the moon, however they usually take the cheapest quote, and often that means they get the cheaper staff. Cheaper staff usually means in experienced or lazy and not a person who makes the company money. So i think my mob may be getting a new client in the future.
