i got mine every time. there was a thing about these kind of puzzles a couple years ago.
i can't remember the solution, but something to do with it's only possible to get certain numbers and that the symbols are the same for multiple numbers

got mine every time... it has something to do with only like some numbers being possible and sharing symbols or something.

its actually rather an easy trick, there are only so many numbers that will work for that sum, so all it does is asign those group of numbers to the symbol that appears, so if you do the exact same number 2 times you will find that the symbols all move each time.

for the 2 digit number 10-19 the end number is 9
20-29 is 18 and so on so the numbers can only be 9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72 etc, basicly mulitples of 9 |

BTW - if it doesn't work, then you calculated wrong.
There is a formula ;)

don't bother actually doing it progress through the screens, and you will notice that all the multiples of nine have the same symbol (although it changes every 'game'). just look at any multiple of nine, there's your sign! |

the number you pick is 10m + n, you take away m + n. algebraically this is 10m + n - ( m + n ).
this is 10m + n - m - n = 9m this is always a multiple of 9 I hope that helps |

Yeah, its a multiple of 9 thing. As someone said, if it didnt work for you you need to polish up those maths skills a tad.
Interesting little game though for those who dont know how it works.

These tricks are old!
They are as entertaining as your Uncle's "sliding/broken finger" routine. :Reverend:
