"Effectively defunct for nearly half a century, these laws returned to public notice in 2005 when proposed changes were included in a draft Anti-terrorism Bill announced by Prime Minister Howard prior to a "counter-terrorism summit" of the Council of Australian Governments on 27 September."
I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on this topic. I think it's a bunch of BS and we are becoming way to much like USA. |

Talked about this before, the thread was promptly closed...
There are pros and cons to the Terrorist Laws, but sedition is a big worry imho. And the way suddenly there are terrorists planning attacks and they have to rush the laws through quick smart... I will not bow down to fear nor will I trust any government implicitly. I have actually stopped watching the news and reading the paper because I just don't want to be a part of the Brainwashing of Australia 2005.
