Long time ago, I won tickets to see the premier of this movie and also see the cars at (village grand prix) blacktown. At 16y/o it blew us away.
Coinsidence has seen me obtain a copy of the movie on dvd, and albeit the acting seems (very 70's) the cars, story, cops etc , still gives me a woody. Did anybody else see this movie and what did you think of it..........

:sm_headba Yeah, I actually saw it at the Dandenong Drive in when it first came out (@82 me thinx) have had the DVD for some time now. Good movie for it's day. Check out the yellow Monaro in the opening scenes, sounds like a V8, goes like a V8, but when it rolls, there's a red inline six, with a single exhaust in the underside shot. Same thing with the XY rollover at some point from memory. Probably a budget restriction. Nice to see Deborah Conway all nuded up, (she had a coupla songs out around the same time or shortly thereafter.

Only have watched it recently for the first time, whilst some of the quality is obviously early 80's was enjoyable to watch. Sad to see the XY's get trashed though.... they were probably quite common when the movie was made. I wonder how many they destroyed?

Ahh "green is nice", classic movie, shame about the cars, and how about his name, 'Pisov'? I enjoyed that film, another good 70's car movie although it's from the USA is Vanishing Point, not so much a comedy, but very entertaining.

lol...I got around to buying it about 5 months ago after reading you guys go on about it. lets say the $15 I paid for it seemed a rip off.
Sure the cars are cool, but my god, the worst acting I have ever seen.....
