Default Tsunami Cricket Match - ICC v Asia

Be on the lookout if you watch this match...you might see me in the crowd.

Is anyone else going to the match?

I think 78,000 tickets have been sold. I will be there in the members stand, I'm going with my brother and we are taking our 85yr old Grandpa too so we won't be getting on the beer haha.

What an awesome match. A great opportunity to see a lot of the best players in the world strut their stuff. Too bad that the Asian XI didn't have enough batting...they really missed Tendulkar and another one or two batsmen who needed to score more. But it was still an amazing spectacle which I certainly wont forget for a long, long time.

A few things to note:
Travelex donated $1 million
3 mobile donated $1000 for every run scored ($576,000 in the end)
A total of 70,101 fans went

and

$14 odd million was raised through the match for the appeal.

Great stuff.

What a game, had a great time. Mcgrath coming in early was a highlight as was the 3 sixes hit off kumble. It was also amazing to see lara and ponting bat together. Hope they do something like this again.

awesome match. my first time to a cricket match let alone the MCG. The ICC team absolutely shone. If Cairns didn't go out I think they would have gotten a lot more. It was fantastic to see all these playeers play together. Took a pic or 2 of the score board with the names on there. Crowd was good except for the few pricks that would every over get out their seat to get an autograph. Eventually I gave them a piece of my mind and they didn't move after that.

saw it on tv..i can only imagine what the atmosphere would have been like..it was packed!

I too hope it happens again...but this time they pull names out of a hat maybe..

Did anyone else see the cruel irony (sp?) of asia losing. Hence why it would have been better to mix the teams up..win win.
