Default Cox Plate tips

Tomorrow is Cox Plate day down here in wet wet Melbourne.. What's everyones fancy?
I believe Xcellent (the great Kiwi horse) is going to be scratched due to the rain.
Makybe Diva will thrive in the going, but for my mind is way too short at $2.15.
Lad of the Manor who beat the great Diva has been unbeatable at the Valley & has to be a chance.
My pick for a bit of Value is the "son of Bart" trained No.14 Hotel Grand

A cox plate is an armoured loin cloth used by the sumarians to protect their precious items during combat with their enemies.

Or its some sort of marital aid.

Yes....plenty of that went on yesterday, it's almost like watching a game of tennis, the head is going back and forth (and up and down) all day

They're saying Makybe Diva is one of the best horses ever to race, the way she can pull away from the final turn is unbelievable.

The races were fantastic, the Oktoberfest at the Transport Bar afterwards at Fed Square even better!

Dont know where you live but i travel to most cities, love to take you to the track and watch these fine animals race they are a true pleasure to watch close up and in full flight,

there is plenty of time afterwards for the fillies, and a beer.

Doc... You are obviously a lover of the "sport of kings". Now, where does this place Makybe Diva? Is she better than Phar lap? (who only won ONE cup & Cox plate),, Better then Kingston town (who won 3 Coxs & VERY unlucky 2nd in a cup) Better than Carbine, Or Bernborough, or Rising Fastor Tullock? Or in later days... Might&Power, or Sunline, Northerly?...
Really, I truly think this IS THE greatest horse we have ever seen!

A good Q Charliewood, first of all a lover of the sport, put it this way if races i love it be it a horse with 4 legs or a car with 4 wheels its all good ( and cant wait until im doing it full time ( and i will )).

To answer the question from my view Phar lap, how could anything take away his crown, so in saying that i would have to say there was room for several horses at the top, certainly Makybe Diva is one of them and if Makybe Diva comes home in the Melbourne cup again this horse has to be the modern day all time great.

Further to that my interests are more in investment reasons and that illusive residual income, and have studied these for years and am still doing it.

When i was very young i used to ride horses all of the time ( we had 4 or 5 on our property ) , and recently went for a holiday to Vic ( warnambool (S) ) and went for a riding tour thingo along the beaches with the family, lets just say the family jewels were a bit worse of after the experience but if people havn't done it it's well worth the effort and time.
