im tidying up here and ive got a good collection of biante and carlectable model cars. all larger sizes. i dont own too many, just about a dozen cars but there all pretty much sort after. eg, gtho, holden sandman etc etc. i know the prices are good at the moment. my thoughts are will they increase in value?? i dont need to sell them but im not really enjoying them either. so if it looks they will be worth more later, ill hold on to them and hope the kids dont destroy them one day.

They'll always go up in price, slowly but surely, even if they take a backwards step now and again.
If you don't need to sell them id keep them.

what do you mean by "not enjoying them"
silly question, i know, but short of pushing them around like a kid would, i am not sure how you would enjoy them i would suggest to pick a place to display them, find an appropriate case/cabinet and display them i had thousands of dollars worth hidden away for years (over 10) until i had something to display them in now they are on display, i hardly notice them but i sure am glad they are there unless you can get a substantial sum for them, they are probably not worth selling - i personally would think selling a couple of big dollar cars and ending up with 3-4 i couldn't move wouldn't be a good option |

Depends what you have. If you have a few that I want, I reckon you should sell them. If you have nothing I want, you should probably keep a hold of them.

If you decide to sell them put up a list of what you have along with pics and prices.

If you are no longer getting enjoyment from them, then I say sell them. Cheers Col

I am in the same situation. I have a few 1:18 and a few 1:43, and used to like them, but now I just think, yeah, they sit there and do nothing. On display or in there boxes, they do nothing! Wish I never bought them now. I would rather put the money to a real car rather than this "hobby". As for holding on to them to sell for more money later? I don't know, they make so many of them these days and just paint them a different colour, I think everyone is holding onto them in the hope of getting more money. Factor in inflation, they probably are never going to be something you will retire off? Just my thought on it.
