Default For Lovers of Smirnoff Double Black

Due to our wonderful leaders discovering my dark secret that I am a binge drinking alcopop lover I have embarked on a small mission to discover a mixed drink that approximates Smirnoff Double Black premixes.

So in a Schooner glass (425ml)I put
25Ml Lemon Barley cordial
10 Ml Bitter Lemon Cordial
150 Ml Lemonade
150 Ml Soda water
Ice
As Much Vodka as you feel necessary to achieve binge drinker status

Enjoy

Regards,
Tote

Now correct me if I am wrong (and I usually am) but how can pubs inflate prices when the legislation hasn't even been finalised yet?

Because most of them are like fuel companies... as soon as something is mentioned about higher prices... they jack them up... even without the legislation out... :

NO, the distributors have already put the extra "tax" on their items, this is for takeaway drinks anyway.

Does that now mean that the tax will all of a sudden be taken back off? Distributors wont be in that much of a hurry...

I heard the other day that people should keep all their reciepts. There will possibly be a case of claiming back tax if it's not passed through the senate.

That could be interesting. The local Bottleshop here I think put there prices up on the 28th of April.

But from a worker in a bottle shop the other day "sales of bottles of spirits have taken off".

So Tote, how much experimenting did it take to get the recipe right?

about half an hour without the vodka so I could tip the failures down the sink. Got it down pat now though :

i think they are published on KFC's website somewhere :

because how can they sell something without listing the ingredients, because what if someone is allergic to one of the herbs or spices

that didnt stop the local dan murphies from rasing the prices. I saw $19 for a 4 pack of jd&coke. or $26 for a 6pack of cans of Bundy+Dry&Lime.. needless to say i bought a bottle of bundy rum instead and bought my own gingerale

For the bundy lime and dry drinkers.

45mls bundy.
Top with half lemonade, half ginerale and squeze a fresh bit of fresh lime and the only thing your missing is the metallic taste of the can.

Last night my sister called and asked if I could stop in to a bottle shop and get her a case of Smirnoff double blacks on my way home from work.. She had some friends over and they were all drinking so couldnt drive to get their own!
Stop in at Dan Murphys and paid $96, are they kidding? (Her drunkish 20-22yr old friends were soooooo worth it though :P)
A case of Woodstock for me was $68.
So for one night on it at my house cost $164.. and theres not much left!
AND thats BEFORE we went to the Fiddler. Me being the nice guy that I am, shouted a few rounds.. This morning im $300 down give or take NOT including the $160 I spent buying the pre-fiddler-drinks and its just a damn thursday.. Drinks are way over priced, but you can't let that get in the way of a good night.
Tonight is going to be bad LOL I cant wait!!!

The Mean Fiddler, is rated as "Sydneys most dangerous Nightclub" I think its a load of BS, I've only ever been in 2 biffs there, 1) a bottle over my head 2) I sent a guys nose all over his face for sticking his hand up my girls skirt.
I dont think its a rough place at all. My sister and her girl's go out there every week religiously, fair enough I keep an eye on them, but they haven't had any dramas there and its our (mine and my sisters) 2nd home, Ive been going for the past 5 years.

Taxes will keep rising, soon we will have to pay to fart.

HAHAHA.. well If i'd known you were a ford forumer I would given you a Hi5 and tagged you in LOL.. sharing is caring after all..
and Henry, lol I had the bottle over my head, got about a 2inch slice, blood and stuff, was very ordinary.. made for a cool pic, ive got it floating around somewhere.
Its really not that bad.. but if you get over 5000 people of all different backgrounds in the one place at the one time, theres bound to be trouble. Its not as if the Fiddler is the only place that has a punch up in sydney like its being made out. :
