How's this for 'good' luck..

Tristan gave me the heads up of the where abouts of a complete set of EB GT Rims which were for sale. I took the liberty to knock off work early today to make it to the spot before 5:00pm only to find that a ute which I past on the way in was carrying the rims out....

DAMN!

Mate...I owned an Everglade EB Fairmont between 1995 and 2004...best falc I've owned .., apart from usual servicing never spent a cent....You've done well mate...What I like about the EB's is that they were the first to have the XR badge and yours is one fine example....truly ORSM and a manual too : !!

Lol! I have a VX Ute at the moment. It's auto and it's slower than my great grandpa's Datsun 120Y running on 3 Cylinders...

It was a shame I missed out on the rims.

Cheers ozmale42 for the comments!

You're right! The main reason I changed it over was to phase out the problem I had with belts falling off when I took off quickly.

Good work Steve. How much better is the Serpentine setup! No more power steering belts twisting and snapping eh!

I noticed your new clear coolant bottle is going brown pretty quick too!

Good pick...it's actually bad lighting though. It's not that bad. It is by no means crystal clean like it was...but it's not too bad.

As for the new setup. I have tested it with some burnouts and it has stood the test!

Haha yeah its good to have a bit more confidence in your belt system during burnouts isn't it!
As for the coolant bottle, you need one of those PWC polished ones! Thats what I want to get but god damn their expensive!

I had power steering problems, so got the EF Pulley pressed onto my old reco pump...all fixed. I also had an oil leak coming out from the T Intersection where the block, timing cover and head meet on the exhaust side...all fixed. I also had an oil leak coming out from the lowest of the three bolts holding the power steering pump bracket onto the front of the engine..not fixed. I also have a coolant leak..somewhere..not fixed.
So when I went to Wagga, I had oil and coolant in the boot which both came in handy in Albury on the way home..lol
